It’s been a long time coming but Golden State Guiding is thrilled to announce we’re officially an AIARE provider! AIARE (American Institute of Avalanche Research Education) produces the highest level of avalanche education material for recreational and professional backcountry travelers and GSG is honored to now be able to deliver this curriculum in the Eastern Sierra region. Our AIARE Level 1, 2 and Companion Rescue courses act as the foundation for any avid backcountry traveler looking to understand the complexities of snowpacks in winter terrain and are the building blocks for a long, successful career in the backcountry and adventuring into the mountains.
