Golden State Guiding is excited to announce registration is officially open for our 2024 Red Rock Roundup event in beautiful Red Rock Canyon, just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada!

Come join us for an unforgettable 3 days of climbing in beautiful Red Rock Canyon, conveniently located just 30 minutes outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. Red Rock plays host to some of the worlds best sandstone sport climbing crags, big wall routes and bouldering in the Western United States. Whether you’re new to climbing, an avid sport or trad climber, or simply looking to get out for a long weekend and meet fun, likeminded people, then this event is for you!

Throughout the weekend you’ll have the pleasure of climbing world class sandstone in a beautiful landscape, the option to choose from two different climbing packages, and you’ll get to enjoy 3 nights under the stars in Red Rock Campground just 10 minutes from many of the popular climbing venues.

If you’ve ever experienced an event with us then you know the good time you’re in for, and if you haven’t, then now’s your chance to come hang with some of the raddest people in our community! Read below for a full description of the weekend including your Red Rock Roundup climbing package options and if 3 days at RRR isn’t enough, then make sure to inquire about an additional day or two of private guiding after the event. RED ROCK ROUNDUP EVENT INFO


 

COST: $675 - $875

LOCATION: RED ROCK CANYON, NATIONAL CONSERVATION AREA

    Climbing equipment will be provided to those in need of a harness, helmet or shoes

  • THURSDAY, MARCH 14TH

    Arrive to camp at Red Rock Campground any time after 3:00 pm. Once you’ve settled in and met a few of your climbing partners for the weekend, we’ll distribute any climbing gear needed, speak to logistics, and answer any questions you may have. Red Rock Campground is just a stones throw away from the town of Summerlin so if you’re in need of any groceries or a warm meal these amenities are just down the road.

    FRIDAY, MARCH 15TH

    Climb time in Red Rock Canyon! We plan to depart early from Red Rock Campground no later than 7:30 am to ensure we arrive at the entrance gate to Red Rock at a decent time as traffic can start to back up early! Depending on the climbing package you select for the weekend, you’ll either be heading off with your guide for a private day of single pitch or multi pitch climbing, or going with a small group for some single pitch climbing. We intend to wrap up all outings no later than 4:00 pm. Friday evening is yours to do as you please! Spark a fire in the campground and hang out with your new climbing partners and friends or head into town for dinner and drinks.

    SATURDAY, MARCH 16TH

    Climb time in Red Rock Canyon! We plan to depart early again from Red Rock Campground, no later than 7:30 am, to ensure we arrive at the entrance gate to Red Rock at a decent time. Depending on the climbing package you select for the weekend, you’ll either be heading off with your guide for a private day of single pitch or multi pitch climbing, or going with a small group for some single pitch climbing. We intend to wrap up all outings no later than 4:00 pm. The evening is once again yours to do as you please.

    SUNDAY, MARCH 17TH

    Our final day of climbing in Red Rock Canyon! We plan to depart from camp no later than 8:00 am which should give ample time to wake, eat, pack your camping gear and head out! The goal is to be climbing by 9:00 am regardless of your package. Depending on the climbing package you select for the weekend, you’ll either be heading off with your guide for a private day of single pitch or multi pitch climbing, or going with a small group for some single pitch climbing. We intend to wrap up all outings no later than 2:00 pm on the final day to ensure we hit the road at a decent time.

  • All guests will be responsible for their own meals for the duration of the event. This includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, both at camp and in Red Rock Canyon. All guests will also be responsible for their own transportation and entrance fee’s into Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Golden State Guiding will provide the group campsite for all 3 nights.
