mount shasta ski & splitboard
There’s nothing like skiing or splitboarding over 4,000+ feet in a single day on one of the most iconic volcanos in the Cascades, Mount Shasta! Standing tall and proud at a height of 14,179’ feet, Mount Shasta is the 5th tallest peak in California, and one of twelve coveted 14er’s with a prominence over 300’ feet. Residing at the southern terminus of the volcanic Cascade Range, Mount Shasta is in a league all on her own and plays host to some of the finest ski and splitboard mountaineering objectives our state has to offer including the classic ski descent of Avalanche Gulch (one of the 50 classic ski descents), as well as the sustained West Face just around the corner. Mount Shasta will challenge your physical and mental capabilities and is the perfect objective for aspiring ski and splitboard mountaineers looking to up their game and learn from our professionally trained, AMGA Mount Shasta Guides.
