El Cajon Mountain is the multi-pitch venue of choice for GSG and many local climbers looking to get high off the deck due to it's heavily bolted main wall. Classic climbs like Leonids (5.9) and Meteor (5.8) are the perfect beginner friendly multi-pitch routes for people to get on. El Cajon Mountain is a south-east facing wall so we like to climb here in the Fall, Winter and Spring months but if you go at the right time it can be climbed year round. The approach is roughly 2 miles long but you gain nearly 2000' feet so we would consider this a difficult approach, but well worth the hike with the views you receive from the base and top of the wall!
